Brandon Valley has an annual tradition during the week of homecoming to vote in five senior girls and boys onto their homecoming court. This year, the senior girls chosen by their classmates are Marlee Alexander, Evie Hoff, Addison Hunsaid, Elizabeth Klein, and Reagan Morrell. The senior boys are Trevin Bussa, Ryland Carroll, Landon Dulaney, Tanner Smith, and Aiden Zerr.
For the Coronation, each of the Court members coordinated their outfits; the girls wore black dresses, red shoes, and held a rose, while the boys wore matching tuxes and boutonnières. During the ceremony, audience members got to learn some information about each member, including activities and future aspirations. There was also a performance by the BV Drumline and the BVHS Dance Team with special guests. At the conclusion of the ceremony, BVHS’s 2023 Queen, Ali Nustad, appeared to crown the 2024 King and Queen: Landon Dulaney and Reagan Morrell! After Coronation, all ten candidates went out to eat at Olive Garden.
The Court had Coronation Day on Monday, September 23, but Coronation was only one of the events these ten individuals did throughout the week. During Homecoming week, they coordinated for dress-up days when possible and took a daily picture. For Character Day, the Court members dressed up in pairs. On Homecoming Friday, they were able to travel to elementary schools in the district to spend time with some of the younger Lynx students. Reagan Morrell said that she enjoyed her overall experience on the Court, but visiting the younger students was “definitely the best part.”
Congratulations to the ten seniors that made it on the 2024 BVHS Homecoming Court!
