Reeling in the Magic of Big Fish: Our Fall Play Takes the Stage

Get ready for a captivating journey as our school presents Big Fish! Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed Tim Burton film, this enchanting tale weaves together fantasy and reality, exploring the relationship between a father and son through a series of larger-than-life stories. With its unforgettable characters and heartwarming message, Big Fish promises to leave audiences spellbound.

 

The story follows Edward Bloom, a man known for his tall tales and vivid storytelling, and his son Will, who struggles to understand his father’s larger-than-life personality. As the show unfolds, viewers will be drawn into Edward’s world of magical realism, ultimately uncovering the love and connection within the Bloom family.

From Edward’s over-the-top charm to Sandra’s steady loyalty, the cast brings out each character’s unique personality. Every role is filled with someone who’s dedicated to capturing the spirit of this heartfelt story, making it feel real and relatable. 

 

Big Fish has something for everyone--humor, heart, and a storyline that pulls you in. This is a play that will stick with you, making you think about your own family, your friends, and the stories you’ll tell someday. It’s the kind of show that’s best experienced live, right here at our school.

 

Show dates are November 14th, 15th, 16th, at 7:00 and 17th at 1:00, however the if the Brandon Valley football team advances to state, the Saturday performance will change to 1:00. Student tickets are $4.00, adult tickets are $6.00. Do not worry about purchasing tickets if you happen to have a BV activity pass, as those will get you in. Don’t miss out–Big Fish is a story you’ll want to be a part of!
